Does any one know how I can obtain a record of who and where people are buried at Salem Cemetery in Milton Twp? I have been told that John William EXLINE is buried there with no marker. John was a Revolutionary War Veteran. I am also seeking information on the name of his elusive wife. John was born Aug. 28th 1761 in Pa. and died in 1847 in Jackson Co. Oh. In between he lived in Va. as that is where his children were born. Never any mention of a wife.

Am seeking information on Cynthia HANNA, b. 1835 and Vincent CRABTREE, b. 1831-1838. They married in Jackson County in 1855. They may have had three children: Alice, Mary Ann, and Cornelia Jane. Vincent died in 1864. Cynthia remarried an older Methodist Minister, Jacob NICHOLS in 1865, then moved to Kansas without her daughters. I would like to find information on the Crabtree family, primarily on Vincent and his children. Where were Cynthia and Vincent living in 1860? (I have searched the 1860 Scioto Township census and cannot find them.) and where/how Vincent died. As for the children of Vincent and Cynthia -- Alice, b. 1857?, is said to have died in 1862 and is buried in a Crabtree cemetery. I have no information on Mary Ann, but suspect she died young. Cornelia was found living with her paternal grandmother, Anne CRABTREE, in 1880, so it is assumed that her grandmother raised her.

WARD (METZLER) born about 1856, widow of William WARD. Their son Alfred WARD born 03/10/1893 died 1957 and his wife Nannie or Nana WARD (MILLER ) born 1904 died 1954 were their neighbors. Nannies Parents Millard MILLER born 1879 or 80 died 1944 and Alpha D BALL born 1879 died 1965 lived near also. There are 3 Wards that I know buried in Oak Hill near the Cooper Hollow enterence to town. William died 1985(My Grandpa) His brother Ben, and Ben's wife Emma who just died recently. Jacob NICHOLS, b. 1803, married Cynthia HANNA, b. 1835 in Ohio. I believe Cynthia was the widow of Vincent CRABTREE who died in 1863. I need the following assistance from someone in Jackson County: 1) Where Vincent and Cynthia were living in 1860; and 2) a possible explanation as to why they were married 13 May 1865 in Jackson County, but their first child, a daughter, was born in Kansas in October, 1864. Jacob, much older than Cynthia, was a Methodist minister who left Ohio to live in Kansas by 1864.

My grandmother was Eliza KRIEBEL and married Howard RUSSELL. Howard RUSSELL was orphaned with many siblings after the death of his father Ernest Dora RUSSELL. His mother Stella (WHITE, YOUNG, RUSSELL and BOYER) was unable to provide for the children.

I can understand him moving about if he was indeed a Minister, but I don't understand how he would run a 400 Acres farm?

He seemed to have disappeared. We have heard that he was shot and buried in Potters Field in Ky. Still no Verification. Thelma then married a Willy HENDERSON. They divorced... then she married a Doc WATTS and they moved to Jackson County, Ohio where they ran a restaurant.

I am also interested in Cleo's first husband, Charles A. BOTTS who was born in Greece but died in Portsmouth. He is my grandmothers father and we have little information on him.

Looking for info for Fred BURNS (B. Feb 2, 1890- D June 18, 1896) believed to have died in Jackson CO., OH. Would like info on cemetery he may be buried in. Also his sister, Bessie Gladys BURNS (B. July 7, 1896) married Ed COLLINS. Bessie appears to be born the year that 2 of her sisters, Maggie Hazel and Florence died-1896. It has been reported that Ed and Bessie Collins had 6 sons - one named William and 1 Daughter - Betty. Any info on these individuals would be helpful. This is my maternal gransfather's family - children of Gabriel BURNS and Melissa LOVING BURNS.
