Edward COCHRAN lived in Jackson Ohio, what I'm trying to find is where he lived exactly so I can revisit the area. The only information I have is from the s.s. index it list his address as 45656 Oak Hill, Jackson, Ohio. I am looking for some conformation on a marriage between Robert Clark SIENS and Angelina B. MEEKER 17 Sep 1867? I have that she is married in Jackson Co. OH. but fail to see the marriage in the OH. marriage of that period put out by Ancestory.com. Another problem with this date is that I have Angelina as being b. 17 Sep. 1857 in Jackson Co., OH. Looking in the 1850/60C's. I find some MEEKER's listed but fail to find Angelina in the 1860C's. Any help on this such as confirmation of marriage date and place, birth date and place, and parents of Angelina would be appreciated.

I am looking for any information regarding a John Schroeder (or Schrader) b. 3/15/1861 d. 9/15/1937 and Emma "Tressie" Wolf (not sure of the spelling of the last name) b. 2/24/1867 d. 4/24/1901. They had 4 children: Katherine b. ABT 1887, Maude b. 9/25/1888, Emil b. ABT 1895, and Florence b. ABT 1901. They lived most of thier lives in Oak Hill. John was supposedly born in Gallia Furnace, Ohio and Emma was born in Scioto Furnace, or so I'm told. Katherine married Sam CAWHORN (?) and had Elizabeth, Vesta (?), Edith, Justa Hazel (?), Sam Jr. ? and another unknown child. Emil married Winnie (?) and had one daughter. Maude married James Ross DAY. Maude and James were my grgrandparents. Florence had epilepsy and never married. I am looking for ANY information regarding ancestors or decendants PLEASE.

Looking for information and descendants of William H. EVANS b. 3/1/1800 Wales, d. July 13, 1881 Jackson County. Buried in Zoar Cemetery. Wife--Margaret H. JONES b. 1811 Wales, d. 12/20/1869 Jackson County. Also buried in Zoar Cemetery. I believe William came over to US in the second wave of immigrants sometime after 1840. He is not on the 1840 census, but shows up in Bloomfield Township on the 1850 census. He and Margaret had 4 children--Jane, Mary, Elizabeth, and John W. John was the youngest, born 11/16/1850. He married Ellen DAVIS, daughter of Morgan DAVIS and Mary DAVIS. Any info on any of these families greatly appreciated. Descendant of John and Ellen---Morgan EVANS--moved to Illinois. He was my husband's grandfather and we would like to reconnect with Evans/Davis relatives in Jackson County.

The above dates and numbers, except for b-dates, are taken from Lancaster Co. Nebraska Bio-Pictorial Album from mid 1880s. Question: did mother Elizabeth PERRIN die while family was in Jackson Co.? Family should be enumerated on the 1870 census for Jackson Co. The above Joshua PERRIN is believed to be youngest sibling of Robert B. PERRIN of Wirt Co., WVA; both were sons of Amos and Elizabeth BENNETT PERRIN of Wood Co., WVA.

She is listed in the 1910 Jackson Co census as head of household, having her son, Watkin (may have been called Richard) dil Lizzie (Elizabeth) KERNS PRICE and one gd, Mary PRICE living with her. Looking for info on George Washington McKELVEY and his son Lauman McKELVEY or any McKELVEY from the Jackson Cnty area. Geo. W. came to Jackson in 1859 from PA and married Martha A CREMEENS. He died 2/23/1880. He had been married once before and had 1 daughter from that marriage. He was a blacksmith and it is thought that he had also lived in Clinton Furnace and Madison Furnace. He was in the 5th battery O.L.A. from 1861-1864 and married Martha around 1864-65 in Jackson. Lauman is one of their children and was born 6/13/1873 in Jackson (one of 4 children). He married Mary Suzan (Susan) DOW. Her nickname was "Molly". We believe her family was from Coalton. Any info will be greatly appreciated.Lauman had also lived in Chillicothe around 1928. We have NO information on Mary (Molly).

I have the death certificate of my Grandfather Daniel BURKE, it says his birthplace was Ireland. His father's name was Thomas BURKE and mother was Ellen TERRIL. He was born in Jan. 6, 1835 and died March 9, 1918, cause of death was senility that he had for at least the last seven years before his death. He was buried in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, (Whereever that is, if someone could help me out there) I believe it is around the Wellston area.

Jan. 3, 1844, Jackson Co.) who were wed Feb. 10, 1786, Culpepper, VA.. I do not know who Mark and Nancy's parents were. William C.'s parents were Foster TILLEY (b. ca 1780-90, NC-d. Dec. 3, 1871, Jackson Co.) and Nancy VERNON/VARNUM Tilley, b. ca. 1780-1790-d. betw. Jun. 1, 1849-Jun. 1, 1850, Jackson Co.). They were wed Oct. 3, 1815, Stokes Co., NC. Betsy Behem's parents were John BEHEM, b. VA-d. Dec. 1869, Jackson CO. and Martha ? (b. ca 1794, VA and d. Aug. 12, 1874, Jackson CO.). I do not know Foster or Marths'a parents' names. Nancy's parents were Jonathan VERNON/VARNUM and Mary COX VERNON/VARNUM both of whom died in Jackson Co. and that family migrated from NC betw. 1810-1816. The Vernon and related lines have been traced through Quakers to PA, VA and early 1400's England.

I am looking for information on Nathaniel Wilson HAYES & wife (1) Sally DETTY (2) Deborah TYRELL. Nathaniel was born in Jackson County, Ohio in 1819 and married Sally in Jackson County in 1837. They had at least 4 children; William Alan HAYES, Sarah Jane HAYES, Issac Benton HAYES,and Nancy Ann HAYES. Nathaniel's parents were Isaac HAYES and (1) Rachel NEWELL 2nd wife was Ruth CLARK. Have Leonard NEFF born 10 Apr 1820 in Jackson Co, OH, marries Clarinda PERKINS 1847 Lawrence Co, OH, dies Coal Grove, Lawrence Co, OH. 1908 They had several children including John, Robert William, Emma, Sarah, Mary, Lena,+. Robert married Amanda PHELPS from KY, Emma marries John ADAMS. Robert was born in Jackson,Jackson Co, OH in 1851, and spent most of his life in Coal Grove, and Hanging Rock, and Scioto Co. He died in 1927, and had several children, including Emma NEFF who married Charles Cincinnati CRAWFORD. Need help filling in holes, and finding Leonard's father and mother, and the parents of Clarinda PERKINS b abt 1836 in the same area.
