I am researching the names Michael Miller/Mueller. There are some living relatives who reside in Jackson County. We believe at the time of his death he resided in Scioto County, but we cannot find any record of death in Scioto. He had a son residing in Jackson Co. The last time we found him was in the 1880 Scioto Co. Census. He was married to Elizabeth Nealy October 24,1865. Birth was around 1836, we believe in Germany. Charles Oliver 49 Va, Huldah 35 Va, Henderson 18, Lewis 17, John 15, William 14, Harvery 12, James 10, Edward 9, Ellen 3, and Alfred Oliver 1. Hope that someone can help me. I know this family were not from this area. I do know that Henderson Oliver married Harriet Faulkner in 1857, but where are they buried at. This family has kept me guessing to where they are actually from. I know that Henderson shows up in 1850, 1870, 1880, and the 1900 census. Can any one help me. All I know that Charles Oliver was from Vriginia. I wonder if Huldah was Indian. I have check marriage records for Vriginia and came up with nothing.

I could use a lot of help with the name MOTES. The oldest I find is John Motes who came into Ohio with a land purchase in Jackson Co, Ohio in 1816. Wife we assume to be Elizabeth, and at least one son Abraham born in 1800. Abe married Barbara Nicholas of Greenbrier Co., VA in Jackson in 1820. There do not seem to be any records of MOTES in VA around that time, but there are a Jacob & John Moats in Washington Co., MD in 1810.

James Bryan, Aaron oldest son, returned to Jackson Co. after one of his children was born in Alabama. Aaron was born in PA in 1821. He married Elizabeth Keith, daughter of Kinsey Keith, who was born in MD. They were probably married in PA before coming to Jackson Co. before 1870. Seeking info on William Benjamin SEAY (b. 10 Sept 1838 in Jackson Co, OH, m. 14 Dec 1865 in Jackson Co, OH, d. 12 June 1906 in Missouri) and his wife Elizabeth (Lizzie) ROBERTS (b. 22 Sept 1839 in WV, d. 1 Mar 1934 in Missouri). He served in the 36th Regiment of Ohio Veteran Infantry during Civil War. They had seven children, several born in Ohio (Jackson and Vinton Co). His parent Benjamin Seay and Mildred Shepard. Her parents Humphrey Roberts and Sarah Hughs (of Wales). My line is from their son Albert Benjamin Seay (b. 28 Mar 1872 in Vinton Co, OH).

Looking for any information relating to the family of JOHN BUTTS. The only information I have is from his son William's death certificate. That information says that William's father was John Butts, mother unknown, and that William Roscoe Butts was born in Jackson County, Ohio on March 19, 1866; however his age at death was given as 62 years, 2 months and 11 days. Considering that he died May 30, 1931, this would put his birth date at March 19, 1869. John Butts is my Great Grandfather, William Roscoe is my Grandfather, and William Isaac Butts is my father. I know that William Roscoe moved to KY and married Sallie Brown, where William Isaac was born. Any help with William Roscoe or John Butts would certainly be appreciated.

He started the McArthur Brick Plant with several others. He had 1 son DANIEL A. MCKEEVER, the only living child of his marriage with Catherine. Dan possibly married an OLIVE DOWD in 1905? Any children? He moved to Perry Co to start another brick plant and it was destoyed in the 1913 flood. We know he was 1 of 8 brothers and 2 sisters. Parents are not known..anyone know? We believe he had a brother THOMAS MCKEEVER born in Berlin Crossroads and is buried in Keenan Cemetery in Jackson County. We have been told that were 3-5 McKEEVER brothers who immigrated from Ireland and that Dan and Thomas is one of the brothers' children. Does anyone know any of the siblings, parents, place of origin?
